Duck Race - The Yards
Apr 30, 2016 — 10a.m. - 4:30p.m.

The Rotary Club of Washington, D.C. is sponsoring the first-ever Duck Race to take place on a contained course at The Yards Park along the Anacostia River.

The race is for charity, and anyone can sponsor ducks to participate in the race, with proceeds benefiting the D.C. Rotary Club and other local nonprofit organizations. The winning duck will get its sponsor $5,000, and the nine runners-up will get other prizes. One person could even win $1 million.

The race, as well as other festival events, will take place at The Yards Park at 355 Water Street SE on April 30 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The race itself happens at 2 p.m.

In addition to the race, there will be an interactive “Kids’ Zone,” as well as food, music, live entertainment and games.
