Downward Plog - The Yards

Plogging, mindfulness, yoga…it is all happening on Sunday May 6 at Pacers Running.

Meet us at Pacers Navy Yard for a special Mindfulness, Plog, yoga, and dinner event with Pacers Running and Altra! We will start with a short mindfulness exercise and then get plastic bags and gloves and plog around the neighborhood, running and picking up trash as we go! Demo shoes will be available to try on during the Plog thanks to our friends from Altra. We’ll finish with yoga by yogi Emily Bango (@yogibango) along with live music in the park at Navy Yard followed by dinner back at the store.

Timeline:
4:00 – Meet at store, drop off gear and check in
4:15 –  Mindfulness exercise
4:30 – 3-5 mile plog
5:30 – Yoga and live music
6:30 – Dinner at Pacers Running. We will provide some food options (including vegetarian friendly options) from Taylor Gourmet and Ice Cream Jubilee along with beer and bubbly water. Bring a snack to share or just enjoy the food already provided :)

This event is open to anyone and not just Wayfarer’s runners BUT we will have Wayfarer’s race day swag there ready to be picked up if you are signed up (and if you arent you probably should because it’s going to be awesome).

Altra will be there with demo shoes to take out on your first or fifteenth plogging adventure and we will have special Community Patches for everyone who attends so you can show off your love for keeping the earth a better place.
