A 300,000-plus square-foot headquarters, designed by Gensler Washington, D.C., and will anchor a new collection of up to five new office buildings at The Yards. Chemonics International signed a long-term lease for the 11-story Class-A office building at 1275 New Jersey Avenue SE which will include new ground-level retail, several levels of outdoor patios and green areas, adaptable meeting areas that can be used by the community, plus two levels of below-grade parking. At its new headquarters, Chemonics will employ more than 1,200 employees specializing in fields ranging from agriculture, economic development, environment, education, finance, health care, IT, and supply chain logistics
The Yards Phase 2
The next phase of The Yards development is officially underway. With a master plan that calls for 25 buildings at full build-out, The Yards will ultimately offer 1.8 million square feet of office space, 3,400 residential units and 400,000 square feet of retail, restaurants and services.
